Auckland Student Movement @ AUT (AuSM) delivers a range of services to students at AUT including weekly free feeds, your student bar, Discount Directory, debate magazine, advocacy service and much more.

AuSM also has student representatives on committees within all levels of the university who ensure that your views and best interests are at the heart of all decision-making.

You are AUT’s greatest asset and we won’t let them forget it.

AuSM operates transparently, so you know what we are doing and why. We also invite you to get involved, work with us and have a go in the many activities and services we offer.

Our AuSM Vision

Wherever they go in life AUT students proudly carry AuSM with them.

Being able to access AuSM’s services is as vital to every AUT student as being able to access their bank account or use their mobile.

This is because every student knows that even before they begin tertiary studies, belonging to AuSM will make a significant difference to their life.

Students appreciate the value of being a part of AuSM and all the things that being a member gives them access to.

Most importantly it ensures that they receive the best possible education – from creating a united voice to champion student concerns through to providing individual support so they can focus on their studies.

And because being a student is about more than just learning, their AuSM membership also helps them to get ahead in life in other ways – such as meeting new friends, getting a job and taking time out away from the pressures of study.
